Contractor Fraud Awareness Week May 18 - 22, 2026

Welcome to NICB's annual Contractor Fraud Awareness Week

Since 2021, CFAW has served as platform to expose the deceptive schemes and dangerous realities of contractor fraud. Every year, thousands of vulnerable homeowners — especially those facing home damage — are targeted by bad actors looking to exploit their misfortune.

Our mission is to empower the public, industry partners, and NICB members with the tools to recognize fraud before it starts. From specialized training for investigators and law enforcement to national advocacy efforts, we are building a united front against contractor fraud.
