Owners of medical equipment company acquitted in fraud scheme trial

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Two men who were indicted on federal charges in connection to a $14.5 million health care fraud scheme, have been found not guilty by a jury.
In 2023, Kuba Zarobkiewicz, of San Antonio, and Anthony Fermin, of Boca Raton, Florida, were charged with 22 counts related to health care fraud, identity theft and kickbacks, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Farrukh Mirza, of Richmond, Texas, was also part of the original indictment and charged with four counts of receipt of illegal health care kickbacks.
